They will remain there until content creators they regularly watch and enjoy start moving. Mamdani is not that.

Do you just not understand the "chicken and egg" scenario you're describing? Someone has to be first.

No one is going to be creating a twitch account just to watch this

...and why not?

Mamdani is not the one that will get people to move to new platforms

Again I ask, why not? Why couldn't he be? Who better than someone with his influence, whose entire job it is to make life better for his constituents?

Young people like him specifically because he reaches out to them on a personal level ~~on platforms they actually use.~~

No one likes him because of the platforms he uses. They're just already on those platforms.
