One thing is illegal, the other is not. Try a different analogy.

I didn't t read the article (of course), but I hope flying cars aren't anywhere near to be available to consumers. Many drivers are barely able to drive correctly withouth killing themselves (and/or anybody else) on a 1D path drawn on a 2D surface. IMHO, giving anyone the possibility to "drive" in a 3D space is a recipe for disaster.
Nope, nobody wants (or even could) stop corps running instances. Fedipact is a number of instance admins (too few, in my opinion) that prefer to defederate their instances from those run by scummy Facebook and the likes. Some people is on the Fediverse specifically to avoid stuff managed by the Elons and the Zucks.
Many chromium browsera already have inbuilt adblockers that aren't extensions, so they won't be affected by MV3.
OTOH, MV3 versions of uBO and AdGuard are already more than enough for 99.9% of people.
So no, nothing will change, despite Mozilla's undeserved fans' hopes.
Just what I did.
Uh? Is this a thing? And, if it is, what's the use case? Just curious...
Me. I own both wired and wireless earphones and I want to be able to use both.
The internet will do fine, don't worry. And no, I don't use Chrome.
