If you're a teenager, just know that your stupidass brain won't be fully developed until your early/mid 20s. So just roll with it and stop imposing arbitrary deadlines on anything.

Yep. The Corporate demand for siloed ecosystems is self-defeating. There are other examples of the same paradigm with VHS v Beta, DVD Audio vs SACD, Dvd vs LaserDisc etc.

Frankly, I don't really care if the tech dies- the companies that "support" it are too flimsy to be counted on as going-concerns, they're just fighting their own downward spirals.

Try not to fixate on the corruption- that's essentially a smokescreen; the whole point is that the system itself is designed to concentrate wealth.

Since we're bandying about well-trodden quotes, how about this one:

"A bad system will beat a good person every time." -E. Deming

Capitalism is why our govt is bought and paid for. They are inextricable.

Uhh, we didn't "think" a lot of those things- you're describing marketing that some Company disseminated in order to shill their products. And many, many people paid the price in misery, or worse.

Widening the technology gap for a species of upright locusts intent on destroying the only place we exist.

I'd rather see anything that shows we're not just cave-people with gadgets.

The US government should already be breaking up Kroger for its monopolistic practices.

I suspect most of the C Suite is simply waiting for whatever they see as the peak of their share price to sell off everything and move on to their next parasitic host.

If they can't figure it out, no one tell them.

I had to put my dog down 20 years ago and it still hurts. That's the price of love, unfortunately.

I finally rescued another sweet pup though, and she helps me remember why we carry the memories of those dearest to us, for all our days.

It'll get a little easier and you'll be okay.
