The last Pope was good as well. I wonder what the last time in history there was a pope that can be considered good before francis?

Francis by the way is the name the previous Pope took on being elected Pope, named after sanctified religious guy from Italy that is the patron saint of animals and nature. Actually a pretty cool guy. I'm not Catholic either though.

You pretty much have to be a millionaire to afford all of the things our parents and grandparents got on Modest wages. Doctors and dentists and optometrists, house repairs and or skyrocketing rent.

Of course a million dollars is nowhere near enough to pay for medical treatment that used to cost a modest amount of your wealth. $1 million would be nowhere near enough to pay for cancer treatment. But now that private equity and hedge funds are involved they extract the life savings of people for medical treatment.

I would hope the pope might also be somewhat concerned about the whole Nazi thing. Not very Catholic those Nazis. I understand he cannot say that though because Nazis are so popular right now.

Social media was biased against the left more than the right since before the Republicans went on their big Crusade against social media censorship. The Democrats welcome the actual left getting banned off social media, they hate and fear the left more than they hate and fear Republicans, while the Republicans fight for the right when they get banned.

Dems relished using the far right to get cause to also remove their left ctitics under both sideisms, convinced as they are if we all just pretended they were good they would win.

It is our fault, we did not believe hard enough, but I digress.

I had a similar sort of thought but figured it was an automated thing, where they would buy or sell to manipulate the market price with the fund removed from the owners of stock.

Something like that could have made a fortune as the stock price was gaining and as such been able to manipulate the shit out of the stock price and fuck short Sellers and everything.

I think there is a fundamental difference now, the government has bailed out stocks twice in 2008 and 2020. Moved Heaven and Earth with the fed and indirect injections of capital to prevent the rich from losing money. So these stock prices reflect tax dollars billing them out in the downturn.

No rational person would think that Tesla would command the majority of that market of autonomous vehicles, robots, or whatever. Especially not after their Flagship truck turned out to suck in like 20 different ways.

If the last 5 years has taught me anything, it is that stock prices are completely divorced from the realities of the fundamentals of business. It is a clown economy and more like a casino then an honest measure of what a stock is worth. Especially with tech.

AI is way overhyped, to a level we perhaps have never seen before, but I would not expect the stock prices too reflect that.

Look at Tesla. The intrinsic value was no more than 10 billion before he started sieg heiling on national TV and alienated half of the western world.

What will continue to drive the stock prices is the support or acquiescence of governments to it. Do you the United States and the rest that follow.
