While true, the case in this article is that the game developers are fixing the broken save file for the player so they can load it and play it. Not just reporting the game is making bugged saves. Most game devs do not do this. Some do but the vast majority do not.

Fix buggy saveing/save systems yes. Fix personal buggy saves files to a working state for a particular player? No.

Microsoft used to do that. I made a password in the late 90's for a we service and I found out that it truncated my password when they made it after it warned my my password was too long when I tried to log in. It truncated at 16 characters.

That's unfortunate. It looks like Zotac is releasing a handheld that looks super similar to the steam deck. https://www.zotac.com/us/page/zotac-gaming-zone-portable-handheld

With all the Xbox game pass advertising it looks like it runs windows. Hopefully one of the handheld Linux distros will work on it.
