I set up Radicale with the normal deb package, I like that more because it will be automatically updated.

For everyone without a AdGuard subscription who wants to watch YouTube without ads and without integrated sponsor bullshit on the TV I'd recommend SmartTube. Don't forget to remap your YouTube button on the chromecast remote to SmartTube.

I'm paying YouTube Premium but still use SmartTube on the TV because of its integrated Sponsorblock.

I can think of a very valid reason. I very often forget that I ran the washing machine, I'm already investigating how to send a notification to my phone or computer after it is done. Right now I am checking how much electricity it consumes and when it stops doing it. But a API would be nicer.

I finally deleted my corporate accounts (twitter, reddit) because the alternatives were finally good enough to use. Still on Facebook and WhatsApp though because of some stubborn friends and family

Did you think about just letting someone else host your apps like:

Not if people would wake up and just use freaking Firefox which Google has not (that great of) control over. I feel it's such a simple solution but somehow the Internet users collectively seem to have decided that they'd rather enjoy ads.

I can tell you that there are more than a handful songs on there preformed live by my band and then someone uploaded it who was there and we are not getting paid anything. I will not go after them obviously because I don't have the time nor money to do so.
