I dunno, I had iPhone in my hand for app development, and I wanted to shoot it out of the cannon into the sun.

You have to understand the thinking process behind the UI, and it's not 'intuitive' to everyone.

And I just couldn't use it, it drove me crazy.

Yeah ok sure buddy, but what do you DO actually?

Or a mortar. Point blank.

I mean when I made one such blog, the default install did not have a single index in the database? Like even a small dataset took seconds to process.

People love to shit on PHP, and I also love to shit on WordPress, but performance was definitely possible to easily improve.

It's not a take, that was their actual reasoning behind it. Gabe knew Microsoft well, as a former employee.

I had a printer I could not in my life make work on a Windows PC (2017). Then I tried my Ubuntu laptop, no drivers installed, just worked.

Why can this loser fart in an elevator and it warrants an article?

And why are so many engaged to the point, including government, that they will listen to that? Like abandoning highspeed rail in favor of hyperloop?

Like what the fuck is going on?

People are and always have been divorced from reality. Some people barely understand how their own house works, but nobody ever understood everything, and at no point you could be sure you know with absolute certainty what was going on 1000 miles away from you.

Let us not act like generative AI is going to break the 4th wall of our perfect world. And I don't even mean video or even image manipulation - basic text can and has been used for manipulation forever.

Perhaps we should reexamine things we've had for decades, like signing content with PGP and building actual trust around the world.
