Counterpoint: I don't like having more than one package manager on my system, which means things like Flatpaks and Snaps are out. With AppImages, I just double-click on the executable and off it goes.

Eeeeh, kinda? Gargoyles weren't specifically VR users, though they were using VR. They also had computer parts strewn all over their body and if I recall correctly, they had cameras for surveillance, too.

Unfortunately, I don't have the expertise to make my own expansion card, at least not without accidentally starting a fire, but good to know! Hopefully, someone will make one down the line.
