Dating apps do work enough that people use them. Heck I met my wife through a dating app. When I was single hearing that would just frustrate me because I couldn't even get matches and at a certain point of that I had to take a break for a year+ just for my mental health. But it did eventually work out.

Legal for the judge to be involved in a business yes. Not ethical for the judge to make rulings about that business but that requires ethics and morals and thanks to Rs even the US Supreme Court doesn't have that.
Below scotus level theoretically judges can censure other judges but idk that process.

Because launching a rocket isn't without consequence. Shouldn't just launch willy nilly every day because you have it, there are other factors (environment, structural damage, etc)to consider which he does not care about.
