A few years ago I was hit with the sack of bricks that is all Donkey Kong Country games being released one year apart. I have vivid memories of playing the second game for a very long time and then multiple times after while imagining what a third game would be like and you're telling me that was only one year? There's no way those games would mean so much to me if we had only had one per console generation.

I've been wondering for a while where the point of diminishing returns is. Surely, at some point, ads become aggressive enough to have an adverse effect on advertisers?

Why contain it? Let it spill over to the schools and churches, let the bodies pile up in the streets. In the end, they'll beg us to save them.

A couple of years ago, there were memes about this exact thing to mock this cult. I didn't think the day would actually come, but some part of me is really happy that it did.
