Why are there no updates besides cosmetics and bugfixes?

Because LT is busy with the hookers and blow, and playing twos IRL with their buds.

EDIT : I'm not calling for fuckloads of random jokers to dilute the playing pool; if I wanted that I'd install the fucking cryptid mod

EDIT 2 : This is a joke. It's satire. You guys getting mad is making me a sad tyre, that feels misunderstood.

I KNOW. I am up to date with this game. I have 550 hours, and a highscore off a random seed of 7e60 , and it affects my life personally.

It's a satirical joke.

I don’t understand why people misunderstand my comment. I don’t want shit from Localthunk, I thought including “and bugfixes” indicated that I saw and appriciated the post release effort they put in, and the “hookers and blow” was further cementing my statement as satire, as I’m pretty sure they aren’t taking shitloads of drugs and fucking prostitutes. The statement about “twos” also should indicate I understand the backstory of the development of balatro.

Although, this is a partial lie. I do want LT to implement a better joker viewer that lets us see the joker artwork bigger, and to include some kind of plot via flavortext or SOMETHING. If I had more time, I’d work on a mod for it, but I have my own personal projects that are 100% mine to take care of, and responsibilities I have to take care of too.
