Here's a client for Mbin: https://interstellar.jwr.one/
@Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com thanks, ill definately look into that. Although im pretty comfortable with my own instance, and you all make good points imo. Guess ill just stick to mentioning @fediverse@lemmy.world
LOL, what? My brother, this is like using a microwave an complaining it doesnt brown your pie. Don't blame the pie, you picked the tool.
As I had to have crammed into my understanding a few times, all ActivityPub posts are in fact the same, they are completely interoperable, it is only the Instance and Client which determine how you can interact with that content.
If you use your instance webclient as the only way to interact with ActivityPub content, you are choosing to defer the decisions of how you interact with the content to your Instance admin. It's not a FediVerse problem, it's a you problem.
Also keep on mind many Clients, including Insterstellar and FediLab, allow you to log in to multiple accounts on different instances and switch between them easily.
If you want more features, use a broader based client, and subscribe to the users/communities on the instance you like to keep continuity of content.
@Coopr8@kbin.earth @fediverse@lemmy.world
i agree, i dont blame you if i appear to look like that.
tbh, looking back now, i sound like i was asking for too much yet not knowing so much. i did not know about Mbin, nor did i have a misskey client. I WAS LITERALLY BROWSING MISSKEY ON MY BROWSER FROM MY PHONE. Yeah, cant blame anyone but myself.
ive found a hack: on misskey, lemmy communities show up as user accounts, so if i follow them, and add those accounts to a separate list from my feed, then i can check lemmy posts as well. Really great workaround. plus, im using Aria now, and Aria client is super fast, doesnt take up too much network.
in the end, ive learnt that on the fediverse, there's always a workaround for everything. the only problem is: us
the fedi isnt some magic Twitter alternative which just works! its a universe of interconnected software. when different software communicate with each other, its bound to have some inconveniences. but after 2 months of using misskey, mbin, mastodon, lemmy, even piefed, i find misskey more suitable for me. reactions, misskey flavoured markdown, quotes, etc. plus the workaround, misskey is pretty solid option for me. achievements boost motivation as well :ablobcatbongoultra:
my brother, on the other hand, finds lemmy more suitable for him due to its reddit like approach, and my other brother finds mbin more suitable for him because it combined microblogging and post aggregation :ablobcatgooglytenor:
in short, the fediverse isnt about the software we're using, but about the friends we made along the way :ablobcatangel:
but yeah, still wish there was an option on misskey/mastodon to synchronize latest replies and reactions from another server, anyone has found a solution or even a client which temporarily does this fix and fetches the latest information like renotes, latest replies, latest reactions?
