Murdoch tabloid leads charge as big freeze persists – could the mayor please do something about the weather?

It snowed two weeks ago in New York. Since then, the temperature has barely risen above freezing – a temperature science naturally dictates is necessary to melt snow and ice.

But science isn’t enough for some US political critics, however, who have instead blamed Zohran Mamdani, New York’s new socialist mayor, for the snow not having melted and still clogging up some of the city’s streets.

The New York Post, the rightwing tabloid and a frequent Mamdani critic, has led the charge. This week the newspaper claimed that “slushy streets” were “ruining travel for everyone”.

The same crap as "the gays are to blame for the storms". Talk about the real snowflakes.

One of the best quotes from "The Newsroom": "I only seem liberal because I believe that hurricanes are caused by high barometric pressure and not gay marriage."

I stopped watching Newsroom when I believe the main character was pro-life. It's been a while since I've seen it since

The character was intended to be a thoughtful conservative, and I thought they did pretty well with that. I'm somewhere to the left of Bernie Sanders, but I don't mind watching intelligently written characters who I disagree with.

Also, I will watch almost anything with Jeff Daniels. He is one of the most versatile actors of our time and he brings depth to every role. His performance is what made "Pleasantville" for me. (I hate Dumb and Dumber, but he added something to it.)

I don't think a thoughtful conservative exists. The entire time watching I thought to myself that they're trying to win over swing voters
