Then they can « downgrade » your gaming experience if you don’t pay more. Not liking this. How is it in Europe ?

I can't speak for all of Europe of course, but in Denmark around the Capital a 1000/1000 Mbit/s wired connection might cost $50 a month, and per default they are unlimited. Cellular seem to be around 70/50 Mbit/s and then you pay for the limit per month 7GB for $9, 300GB for $30.
