That will be the only version supporting Alloy's sharpened shadow while targetting 60fps on PS5 pro

Alloy's AI sharpened shadow

FTFY

Why is that supposed to matter?

[–] maniel@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

because AI is all the rage now, a buzzword making shareholders want to invest more, also PS5 pro PSSR is somehow AI based, OP probably wanted to make fun of PS5 pro capabilities of just generating higher FPS count and upscaling textures, i just wanted to top it off with "AI" buzzword, made it more funny in my eyes

DLSS and FSR are some of the best and most useful implementations of AI out there right now, I don't know why you're acting like it's just some marketing gimmick buzzword.

As far as I know the current FSR doesn't use AI (planned 4.0 will) anyway, I'm far from playing down any actual AI as a useful tool, but AI as a buzzword is pushed everywhere, fridges, toasters, washing machines

You're right, I'm more familiar with DLSS and thought both used it, but still, just because other companies are using it that way doesn't mean it's inherently a buzzword in every context.
