Wait, that was the same studio? The game with the talking slingshot, right? I had it as a kid but never beat it, I got bored with the combat.

Yeah, Dark Cloud 1 had some issues, but Dark Cloud 2 / Dark Chronicle (depending where you lived) made huge improvements all around. While other pre-2000 game companies have been falling apart or getting caught up in controversy, Level 5 has been quietly cranking out titles that a lot of people don't even realize they were involved in.

Im guessing the Layton games haven't sold enough copies recently, so he wants to use the sales cheatcodes that will make even the most mediocre of games sell more copies.
