I just got it and have already put dozens of hours into it. I can definitely see it being the next big multiplayer game.

However, I already see some of the same problems that other multiplayer games have. Matchmaking struggles to make fair matches. There's toxicity when games start to snowball towards one team. Lots of players will disconnect midway through a match if they don't think they'll win. These things are common in pretty much every multiplayer game now but I wonder if Valve will find a way to mitigate it.

I have played Deadlock 65 hours in two weeks so yeah this will be an amazing game no doubt about it.

The latest patch already attempts to fix some of the behavior problems like leaving.

All I see is a game still in very active development but listening to the community to fix stuff.

We were frustrated by Seven and Talon but last patch nerfed them.

Really confident for the success of this game.

I just think it won't be a game for everyone. MOBA are hard, deadlock is definitely very hard to master and has a pretty steep learning curve. With just 21 heroes it's already very deep on what you can do as a team.

Amazing game. Frustratingly hard but amazing.

It's not for everyone, it being a third instead of first person shooter with the complexity of a MOBA.

But goddamn I am obsessed.

And as an older, more chilled out gamer, the toxicity doesn't get to me the way it used to when I played Dota after school every day.

No matter how well or badly a match is going, I'm managing to have fun regardless. I just don't assign the emotional stakes to being the best player in a lobby, or to the matchmaking landing me on a winning team.

At the same time there is an absolute crap-ton of mechanics I enjoy, and I'm up to matchmaking with 9 characters selected. How is every damn aspect of every part of this game this fun?!

I definitely agree, and the playstyle of the characters are super fun across the board. The only time I had a bad match was when I got a bug where I couldn't teleport as pocket (really nerfing my kit) but in general I love the feel of the game

I've been obsessed by it for the past 80 hours of playtime but am growing tired of it. All the CC is just annoying me and how some heroes require so much counter itemizing just for existing. Every game is starting to feel the same.

We'll see what the future brings but right now I personally have no desire to play at all.

I've played a handful of bot games but I'll wait until it's out of beta and more people are actually on and playing.

There's way more people playing now than any other competitive game other than the biggest dota/cs/lol etc

I don't know un-installed it after 2 games. I wanted to like it, but the shooting was boring, and I can't be bollocksed to study 3 pages of items.

Played it for a handful of hours, it's unfortunately at it's best when you're rolling the enemy team or being rolled. Matches where the teams are even easily drag out into a 1+ hour slog. I did like the feature that integrates build guides into the ui.
