Earlier this year, when Activision first announced the remake collection, it also announced a list of skaters planned to be featured in the game. This list included every classic skater originally featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, except one – Bam Margera, known for his roles in Jackass, Viva La Bam and the Tony Hawk series, was seemingly missing.

Now, during a live stream on The Live Club skating podcast, it’s been claimed that Bam was added to the game at the last minute after Hawk demanded he be included.

It's the Nine Club, not the Live Club. Might have been an autocorrect. But anyone into skating this is by far the best skating podcast out there.

How many second chances is he up to?

I know my opinion doesn't matter but I gave up on him in the podcast with Steve O.

He was saying he was sober but all he could talk about was stories of how awesome everything was when they were drunk/on drugs, that's a classic (massive) red flag, I think it even has a name "war stories".

Why would they not include him? Is he controversial for some reason?

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 1 points 4 weeks ago

No. He is not controversial or problematic for any one reason...

What did he do for skating that no one else has?

.... I don't know, is that why they tried to remove him? Are all the other skaters in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games notable in some way that he isn't?

I'm not trying to argue some point, I just know basically nothing about this and I'm curious.

The entire personal life section is pretty insane

He went off the rails after Dunn died. They even kicked him off of jackass 4 because he refused to stay sober, a requirement set to prevent steveo from relapsing

I'm so sick of bam. Dude is a kook. Was he a pro skater? Sure. Did he do anything memorable? Nope. There are a lot of weirdos and "problem children" in skating. Mullen. Thomas. Addams. Templeton. Singleton. The list is long. But they all added something, changed something, or otherwise brought style and panache. Bam is an abusive drunken media whore. Fucking mook.
