Hi,

I created this project that allows bloggers to integrate comments from the Fediverse to their articles, currently from Mastodon and Lemmy, using a plug & play client-only iframe, that saves readers from copy/pasting post URLs to their home instance.

Check it out !

Your comments from here will appear there ;)

I'm excited to let you know that sshPilot is now available on Flathub: https://flathub.org/en/apps/io.github.mfat.sshpilot

It’s an intuitive, fast SSH connection manager with features like terminal tabs, a built-in SFTP file manager, port forwarding, key transfer (ssh-copy-id) and more and is optimized for fast navigation with keyboard.

In addition to the dual-pane file manager, the latest release adds a macOS bundle, a keyboard shortcuts customizer and support for grouping servers.

Technical notes:

The app doesn't use any custom configuration, it loads and saves standard ssh/config files.

It has an optional Isolated (sandboxed) mode which is enabled by default in the Flatpak. With this mode the app keeps its own sshconfig separate, which might be useful if you want to keep things isolated from your regular ~/.ssh/config.

The app is still under heavy development and more features and enhancements are planned.

How to get it?

Downloads for linux and macOS are available from the website or project page on GitHub.

The non-Flatpak versions (RPM, DEB and Arch packages) have extra features including:

  • Custom terminal (use your favorite terminal: Ghostty, Kitty, Alacritty, etc are all supported)

  • File management with Nautilus/Dolphin etc. using GVFS/GIO (you can still enable and use the built-in file manager)

Homepage: https://sshpilot.app/

I'd love to hear your feedback/thoughts.

I used to pirate a lot back in the YIFY and original Pirate Bay era. Did IRC downloads, torrent and Pirate Bay and similar sites.

Used a good ISP that did not care. Fast forward to now. Our ISP is not pirate friendly.

Have used TorGuard VPN for 10-15yrs now and it seems to work fine for our minimal needs.

Would like to know what would be best for getting books for our son with autism and epilepsy. He devours books.

Our local library has cut a ton of books to his chagrin. An example the Series of Unfortunate Events books.

What are the best pirate book sites to hit and what to use?

[SOLVED] too many unsuccessful flatpak updates lingered in this directory. It sorted itself out after rebooting the system.

I've messed something up with the bootloader on my Orange Pi 5 Plus and I'm looking for help in digging out of this mess.

While playing with Pxvirt (Proxmox port for ARM SBCs), I had the genius idea to swap out u-boot for this EDK2 UEFI firmware: https://github.com/edk2-porting/edk2-rk3588

Now, when I attempt to boot from USB or SD, it just pops back to the UEFI screen.

I've manually removed every boot option except the USB or SD, but no luck. I've also completely formatted my eMMC and NVME to FAT32, since that seems to be the only filesystem UEFI will recognize.

I've connected to the OPi via Maskrom and flashed the SPI NOR with U-Boot and SPL Loader from Radxa, but still boots to UEFI.

Using Maskrom, I also tried to completely erase the contents on SPI NOR and physically removed my eMMC and NVME drives, but it still booted to UEFI.

I've also completely formated my eMMC and NVME to FAT32, since that seems to be the only filesystem UEFI will recognize.

Some of the boot disks I've tried are: PXVirt installer Orange Pi's custom Debian Bullseye build Debian Trixie for Arm64 SystemRescue

Any recommendations on what I can do to get UEFI completely off this OPi and back to U-Boot? I don't really care whether U-Boot is on SPI or eMMC, just need something working.

I'm in a really weird situation, yesterday I installed Linux (Fedora Kinoite) on my mothers laptop (An old Asus F550C) and it worked perfectly fine. Great! Or so I thought.

We needed a few files from Windows 10, so I put that drive in, put the files on a USB stick, put the Linux drive back in and... Nothing? It recognizes the drive, but not the Linux boot option. I put the drive in my pc and it works fine, the boot drive is also still detected in the laptop just fine.

What the hell could it be??

  • The laptop is fine (Windows drive works perfectly)
  • The drive is recognized in bios (But not the boot option)
  • The drive works fine in my desktop and can boot to Fedora
  • The laptop can boot to the USB drive I used to create the install
  • Yesterday it worked just fine
  • I went through the bios, but can't find any settings related to this (Secure boot did not fix it)

Update: the issue is solved! Windows somehow wiped the efiboot entry.

I mounted the drive from a live usb and ran

sudo efibootmgr --create --disk /dev/sda --part 1 --label "Fedora" --loader '\EFI\fedora\shimx64.efi'

After rebooting, the system works again!

Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet on Saturday said Charlie Kirk's surgeon called it an "absolute miracle" that the bullet that killed him didn’t exit his body because dozens of people were standing behind him when he was shot.

"I want to address some of the discussion about the lack of an exit wound with Charlie. I’m usually not interested in delving into most of this kind of online chatter, and I apologize this is somewhat graphic, but in this case, the fact that there wasn’t an exit wound is probably another miracle, and I want people to know," Kolvet, the executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," wrote in a lengthy post on X.

Development seems to have stopped around late 2024. Anyone knows what happened to the project?

Starbucks now says that time-stamped footage from the store at 6332 N. Northwest Highway does not show any of its workers writing that message. Instead, the note appears “to have been added after the beverage was handed off, likely by someone else,” a spokesperson told Block Club.

Garretson wrote that a relative, whom she later identified as her mother-in-law, ordered the Mint Majesty tea with two honeys — an order known to be Kirk’s favorite drink — from the Starbucks. When the order was completed, the cup had “Loser” written on it, Garretson said.

“I’m talking 5 p.m. today, I want some form of action to the employee that represents this business that wrote ‘Loser’ on my mother’s cup,” the man, who is not seen on-camera, can be heard saying in the video, which was posted Wednesday.

“We’re looking for not corporate bureaucracy. I want immediate accountability; and if not, I will have this whole intersection lined with patriots today, I’m not even joking,” the man told a Starbucks employee.

What an emotional response jesus. Guy sounds like a loser.

Any experienced torrenters here? For me a torrent took like 3 days for a 4 Gigabyte movie, I had like 1 slow ass peer at a time.

I'm looking for a foss self hosted music service that will let me play music from my computer, my phone, and home assistant all while remembering where i was in the song and where i was in the playlist. Ideally it would be as simple as hitting pause on one and play on the other.
