A quick search on google proved really quickly that these numbers are incorrect.
Feel free to look it up yourself.
Edit: op edited the image.
Seeing how you found such evidence, feel free to provide it, or it didn’t happen.
From Wikipedia:
China Asia 6.7
North Korea Asia 8.2
South Korea Asia 21.2
And it didn't list numbers for Taiwan
I don't want to be accused of fudging the numbers. Everyone here is capable of using a search engine and exploring one of many helpful websites that tracks suicide rates around the world.
The interesting thing you'll find is which of the two countries OP fudges the numbers on even tho their "point" wouldn't need the help.
Now I’m even less convinced that you actually did “a quick search on google.”
Sorry I didn't use decade old stats from Wikipedia.
You understand that you’re reporting me to myself, right?
Yes. I am well aware if how lemmy works, as I am aware that you are as well. I'm purposely annoying you by doing that.
Good of you to admit you're just a spammer.
Wikipedia seems to back up these stat's. Though as someone that has discussed this topic with Chinese nationals several times, their number seems artificially low.

You know what you're completely right. Fixed the numbers and added sources in the description.
Awesome now explain the correlation between these rates and your claim. Maybe you can help me out by telling me the methodology of gathering this information and how truthful the reporting actually is.
The reason you'd have more suicides is because more people are unhappy with their lives to the point where they want to end them. Meanwhile, even if we don't the exact reason, we can see that there is a statistically difference in outcomes between two systems. Let me know if you need this explained in simpler terms.
Since you're the one making baseless claims it is on you to provide evidence that numbers in states you don't like are manipulated. Try to put a bit more effort into your trolling.
Okay
https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/CHN/china/suicide-rate 8.2
https://www.statista.com/statistics/860970/taiwan-suicide-mortality-rate/ 16
https://www.statista.com/topics/8622/suicide-in-south-korea/#topicOverview 27...
What was that again?
8.2 > 6.7
The image says 16.7 for Taipei, not 6.7. neither my comment nor the image contains a 6.7.
Now you can argue all western and Eastern sources are undercounting nk and China, that's why I didn't even include nk given the natural mistrust of information from a country with less than 10k tourists a year; but any search of this info online shows the same trend: Chinese nationals dont commit suicide as often as their oppressed neighbors.
