I finally found the game, it's Gestalt_OS https://www.increpare.com/game/gestalt_os.html Hello, I played a puzzle game somewhat 4 years ago, but I don't remember the name. The game is about placing symbols on a grid to get to a specific solution. Each symbols has a functionality, like copying other symbols, or move them, but the functionality is not described, we have to guess what it is. IIRC 40 (it is 50 actually) challenges to solve, and the game is a game playable on online browser. Do you guys know what it this game's name?

I wish more games had a "thanks for playing" type message at the end.

Nintendo games do that a lot. Most Mario games (some of them in Charles Martinet's voice), StarFox, Metroid (with occasional thumbs-up/waving at player), F-Zero...
