The developers behind DayZ and Rust have taken to X/Twitter to troll The Day Before developer after it announced its studio was closing its doors following the release of The Day Before.

Yeah. Unless the Day Before devs / marketing specifically bad mouthed DayZ and Rust, this really seems like a "kick em while they're down" move.

They are not "down". They have run away with the money, they are scammers who have done this before and they don't deserve any pity.

Steam is offering refunds. Do you honestly think Valve is going to eat that cost while paying out to the devs? If someone bought the game elsewhere, do a chargeback.

There's no reason these devs should see a shiny penny from this game.

Well this other article by IGN has some interesting things about it.

Basicay the devs lied about what the game would be and plagiarized their trailers almost word for word from other games.
