IYour article says since August, 2022. Thanks for the update.
yep, because a piece of misinformation has always stopped being spread by everyone everywhere when specific outlets reveal it's misinformation
edit: there's also the part that says "This story dates back to March 2022." when DDG found the scripts MS was running to get their data, and blocked them
edit2: I did some digging on your source. The site is ran by someone named "Kurt the Cyberguy". His linkedin, at https://www.linkedin.com/in/kurtknutsson (clear cookies if the site gives a login screen, it gives the 1st view fine), shows he's a "CyberGuy Report syndicated tech contributor" to FOX News for 10 years up to present, and "CEO/Founder "The CyberGuy Report"" with the description, "The CyberGuy Report is syndicated daily to FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Sports, NY Post, Yahoo! News along with TV and radio stations throughout America".
I'm sure someone with heavy ties into FOX News wouldn't have any motivation to sabotage DDG to strengthen other search engines that loves targeting ads to users
That probably wasn’t the original source where I read it. I think it was some privacy or security blog, it seems they’d tested a bunch of browsers. It was posted at the place that shan’t be named a while ago.
I also apologize if my reply came off really snarky, overly sarcastic, and almost combative (after I reread through it), I haven't had my juicebox for the day
No worries, I’m having mine, now. With gin!
