I dunno, I found it pretty goofy that the government is threatening to recognize a country as a punitive measure against another.

yhea, it makes no sense, "Recognising Palestine" is like recognising the existence of water.

not doing so is straight up denying reality.

"Country A threatens that if Country B doesn't do what they want they'll recognize C as a country" kinda sounds Onion funny to me
