I have such a soft spot for Raven. I really wish they could break free and make great games again.
for me Raven always brings back memories of soldier of fortune. though i wouldn't want a sequel today as its only selling point was dynamic dismemberment and that has long lost its novelty imo. i remember nothing about the story if it had any, and all i remember is that it had a very unappealing and generic cover art and i was lucky to have not skipped trying it because of that.
The dismemberment was somewhat pioneering in its day. I remember SOF 2 as one of the first FPS's to have foliage in its level design. The gunplay and audio was also great for its time. Other notables I remember were Hexen, Heretic and the Jedi outcast / Jedi Academy games.
These are the people that made the X-Men Legends 1 & 2 games. I replayed those games so many times. I didn't even know the company was still around.
