I have a Framework (@framework) 13 laptop and I love it. HOWEVER @SecritLyfe spent a big chunk of $$ on a Framework 16 and it has been a complete disaster. Long story short, it's been OOS since mid-June.

Finally got it back from service today and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK.

I cannot recommend them anymore. Glad mine is OK and hope it never breaks.

Buy a used eBay Dell for 1/8 the cost and just expect to replace it annually. Its a better deal.

@mack505 @framework @SecritLyfe Please dont scare me!!!.
I have a FW laptop 16 since february and I have to say that I am really happy with it. The only bad point is that the 180W charger stopped working, but after a couple of mails and photos with the support service, a new charger is on the way.

@Galle43 @framework @SecritLyfe They email me back at least. Went though about a week of "try this, try that" before insisting that they take it back for service. It disappeared into the service center for a month, then reappeared today STILL NOT FIXED.

But my 13 is great, and they're nice.

@mack505 @framework @SecritLyfe OMG!!. Sorry man, It has to be a PITA after spending so much money. I am crossing fingers with mine, at the moment I am more than happy with him.

@Galle43 @framework @SecritLyfe Will see how they respond to my latest frustrated email.

Mind sharing? It would be nice to know what those support interactions are like in case others here (including myself) ever have to deal with them.

I also have some laptop repair experience, and am probably not the only one here that does. Maybe we can suggest something that gets you up and running more quickly than another round trip to the repair center?
