The US Empire is the world hegemon. It is the country most responsible for current global plunder and genocide. It is still a settler-colony. The aesthetics don't matter, what matters is that it's an empire and runs on imperialism, and the way beyond it is a destruction of the empire itself and a new socialist state in its place.
No need to argue or downvote brother, we are saying the same thing. I’m just saying your socialist state will be more easily digested if it is presented as a continuation of the “dream”.
Not really, actually. Patriotic Socialism is just a way to justify imperialism, it's akin to a far-right ideology.
I think you just want to win arguments of theoretical concepts.
We both want the USA to self implode. That’s the common ground I’ll remember from this little interaction.
Imperialism never needed justification. It’s imperial. Let me know if you need a hand climbing out of your rabbit hole.
There are genuine PatSoc groups like the MAGACommunists. The idea is to twist leftism into something that retains the US Empire, and a lot of it stems from trying to uplift "American values."
