We've answered this question. The answer is yes. The follow on question "does America care", appears to be a resounding "nope".

"Care" is a spectrum. Taken as an aggregate, I'd say America is somewhere above, "frowny face" and somewhere below "getting shot to death by the National Guard while vainly storming the White House."
