A problem is that rhetoric is dismissed out of hand simply because it's agreed with by a US enemy state actor, even when it doesn't originate from a state at all.

Too many liberals follow the axiom "if Russia believes X, then X must be false" and don't even bother to examine the veracity of X.

Oh this was some time ago, you can find it in the modlog of my lemm.ee account. I think it was lemmy.flatworld but not too sure.

Its so funny too, because even if they believe they are peddling fake news for propaganda purposes, like some radio free x site, do they believe the reporting on their own state policies is fake??
