I wonder how close the comet comes for the Lich to be able to jump towards Earth like that.

Logic dictates that that comet swoops overheard, but 10 million km away, and then *a week later the Lich drops the elbow

* Nearest comment came 15M km close to Earth
* Meteorites travel at roughly 20-30 km/s
* 15e6 km / (25 km/s) = 600k s = 6.9 days
