For sure, I'm doing a little self-deprecation with the post title as well.
But what people must keep in mind is that the goal of the online activism is to eventually spur others into material action. This can be things like boycotting, but also direct action like road blocks or vandalism.

Remember, squids: if you're in a big city, cops are better at responding to one big thing in one location than ten medium sized things across the entire metro.
