Is he saying there that the entire reason they are destroying the world is to bring about their religious doomsday fantasies?
I mean by now "every accusation is a confession" is pretty much proven about these people. So this too has to be projection and actually about his team.
i think you put too much value on the ramblings of a mentally ill person in the midst of a psychotic episode.
Look up Steve Bannon and Dominionism. They literally want to usher in their religious apocalypse.

Bannon is entirely cynical and has no religion in truth. Neither does Thiel. They are in league with the religious right, fully intent on betraying and subordinating them after they achieve absolute power.
They are playing the religious people, the religious leaders on the right are playing their own people too more often than not, but also see themselves as playing the business lobbies like these tech bros. They think they are using them back.
