It was a waste because twisted pair copper and fiber are mediums. Fiber optical networking has Ethernet standards such as 100BASE-FX, 1000BASE-SX/LX, 10GBASE-SR, and 10GBASE-LR.
This guy had an AI write him slop that is unsurprisingly factually incorrect. How tragic.
