tbh, don't believe any of the shit Russia says. It's all lies and propaganda, so even if what they say seems to make sense, their actions do not follow. It's horrible how their news channels report on the war and what kind of paranoid brainworms they have inflicted on my family :/

The other day I had a guy tell me I was performing oral sex on Putin for pointing out that the fighting in the Donbas region had been going on since before 2022. Showing him a CNN segment on the conflict from 2013 did not change his assessment.
