Dunno where this seller is but, here in Australia, pure-bred Husky pups go for $1500-$2000. $600 may still be a bargain, depending on the dog's lineage.

There's a biiiig difference between a husky pup vs a (poorly trained, somewhat dangerous) 4 year old husky. There's also a big difference between buying from a breeder vs buying from a random person from an online marketplace. The price you mentioned seems accurate for a husky pup from an established breeder. A 4 year old husky maybe could be sold for a few hundred on an online marketplace. One that is described as poorly trained likely would be hard to sell for $100.

Owning a husky in Australia is animal abuse imo. They need lots of outside time, and they're built for the cold. Bad combo in Aus.

Australia is big. Northern Queensland might be a bad idea, but Tasmania could be suitable.

Yeah, I've got a mate with a husky. He's always had huskies. Admittedly we have cooler climate here in Melbourne than other parts of Australia, but I could never figure it out. Don't get me wrong - he takes excellent care of them. They're his only family, really, but the effort he has to go to is much higher than I've seen for just about any other breed.
