That sounds good?
I'm not a member, but 34m sounds like a lot.
I think it's a great spot to be. Should be more than enough to be profitable if they need it to be and has ample room to grow given how large the gaming market is these days. If I was heading up the division responsible for game pass though I'd be working hard right now on forging a roadmap for how to expand into the mobile market. I think cloud gaming is an excellent way to deliver true gaming experiences to a crowd that today make do with seriously subpar experiences and extremely predatory monetization. Couple that with them making their own smartphone attached universal game controller and they will get filthy rich.
Thanks for the insight. Cloud gaming feels like that's where the industry is leaning towards.
Haven't done it personally. I do have mobile games and a steam deck. So I probably won't jump on it immediately, but will keep an eye on it.
Idunno. Even as a subscriber to game pass, it still kind of worries me that we're speeding towards "you'll own nothing and be happy" territory with arms wide open. Of course you can still buy the games on game pass, but how long until you can't?
As long as games arent gamepass exclusive, and direct game sales stay consistent, I think we are largely safe.
But Im not exactly sleeping with both eyes closed, so to speak.
I think you have something there.
All the users that bought videos on Funimation, just to lose it all since they are shutting down.
Yeah, and I'm not blind to the fact that I'm falling for the same trap by "buying" games from the online store. Part of the reason that I'm pro piracy is because I have a series S, and am incapable of keeping my own copies of the games that I "own"
I mean they did herd everyone into this situation, and there's nothing we can do about it. I was fine with just paying for XBox Live, which allowed me to play online with my friends. I don't really give a shit about gamepass, and find this to be just corporate bullshit where they get everyone in the same line and then stand around bragging about how long the new line is...
They recently rolled what used to be called Xbox Live into the service. This is actually really low numbers considering.
