I always like to be charitable with my opinions of other people. I liked to think that the best case scenario was that Jirard was lied to by his dad or something. But Jirard said he knew in 2021 that the money wasn’t being given away. He could have claimed he didn’t know, made sure the money went out ASAP and made a video saying he didn’t know and he fixed it. He made a lot of missteps, if not outright lies, and destroyed most of the goodwill he earned over the years. Whether that’s him defending his family or himself, doesn’t really matter anymore.

He not only said he knew in 2021, he went and claimed again in the next Indieland that the money was going to a bunch of places when he knew it wasn’t.

I’m glad the money finally got donated - even though the amount donated doesn’t cover everything they had in 2022 and doesn’t include anything from the golfing charity, so something is definitely sus there - but yeah, no one is ever going to trust him again, and they shouldn’t.

I think his org, probably his dad, will have legal proceedings over the golf stuff.
