Ramadan isn't that far away from now, maybe you should try that. Or don't, it's just a suggestion.
Ramadan is fucked.
At first I was like idgf what people do. But then my mate told me every Ramadan doctors and nurses collapse while on the job due to Ramadan.
Just imagine telling some kid "sorry your mum died, but the nurse fucked up the medicine because she was incredibly dehydrated because some guy that lived in a tent 2000 years ago commanded it".
They should have to use their holiday days. Or just do their fucking job.
Yeah they're not supposed to be fasting. Anyone who has even the slightest physical reason is excused. The poor, the ill, the old, the young, the pregnant, the required workers like doctors, police, fire, power line guys, etc ...
If doctors and nurses are fasting it's because they want to and if they're passing out then they should be taking immediate steps to rectify that because they now fall into the ill category.
Thats just the way it is.
Loads of them do it and a few collapse because of it
While people who are ill and nurses/doctors are excluded from fasting, I have no doubt some of them still do.
Good point.
In boarding school one of my best friends was from Turkey, and I joined him for Ramadan. I actually had a lot of fun, we’d hoard food from the cafeteria throughout the day in his room, then hang out all night.
I’d never do it on my own, especially because I have no connection to the religion, but I’m still glad I participated.
Cool story.
What difference is the hotel you stay at going to make for your weight loss?
I don't get what you mean by "the hotel I stay at".
Ramada is a hotel chain in the US (and maybe other countries). They were just trying to be clever
Now it makes sense.
It was a joke about the famous hotel chain Rendezvous with Rama.
"Pretending to misunderstand what you said" is one of my favorite joke structures.
Sometimes I'm good at making jokes, but I'm almost always terrible at understanding the jokes of others.
This could be a very serious problem.
No no see you're supposed to say "no, that's a book by Arthur C Clarke, you're thinking of other thing that kinda has most of the same sounds"
Ah, you got arthritis in your ankles, got it
What's it called?
I personally think it's the worst way to fast. In the end, you can still eat a lot of unhealthy stuff in the morning and in the evening (timing differs, easier in winter) while you can't drink any water during the day. Especially the latter part should just be a no go criteria for most people. Especially if you exercise physically in summer. Just completely whack in my opinion.
If the Christian way of fasting makes sense can be debated. But at least it raises no health concerns.
Anyone who has to do outside work is absolutely allowed to eat and drink water during the day. You wouldn't go work in your garden, but construction workers are not fasting.
