I really wanted 5 to be as good as 3 or at least not a buggy mess. It was clear that the game was released years early.
I didn't pick it up until launch day on Steam and had a pretty bug free experience (even on Deck). That's a bummer that it dropped with issues.
I would of loved to seen a 2nd entry in this timeline.
Yeah I got it at launch like a dummy. Every loading screen my outfit would randomize, my controller layout would randomize and some missions were nearly impossible because you couldn't leave the mission area to kill the dudes that spawned in the wrong place.
That sounds frustrating. I don't think we'll ever be able to get games at this scale with clean launches.
I had a terrible experience with Baldurs Gate 3 at launch and felt like I was in an alternate world as I watched it get mass acclaim.
