This is absolutely hilarious. First you complain the meme is too simplistic, then when explained the context you complain that people are talking down to you. Nowhere have you provided any actual critique of what Marx says, or why you claim it doesn't apply today.

I'm again confused how pointing out that workers need to organize against capital owners is making us fight against each other. It seems that you're very confused and angry person who might want to go outside and touch some grass.

Yogthos, are you so out of touch?

No, it is the sh.itjust.workers who are wrong.

Absolutely vicious straw man there. Great job boss. This meme does not do any of the things you claim it does and I've absolutely demonstrated what you just said I didn't. You're obtuse and completely out of touch.

I'm upset that this meme helps the ruling class by pitting the working class against each other. That's it. Your meme does not say, "capital owners", it says, "boss". This is why I'm still questioning your reading comprehension because I've now explained this multiple times.

Anyways. Enjoy your day of posting memes that help the elites that wouldn't exist if the working class wasn't constantly fighting amongst ourselves. I've got to go organize with my coworkers, including my "boss", who are all part of the labor class getting screwed by the elites that you are enabling.

Agreed class traitor ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the McDonald’s manager is a bit of a straw man here, insomuch as it is an edge case. It’s a class traitor job, much like being a cop is. Both are wage slaves tasked with disciplining other wage slaves.

Edit to add: Employers—from owners all the way down to McDonald’s managers—and cops & prison guards can’t join the IWW, but anyone else can: https://www.iww.org/membership/

I dunno man. Even in a utopia where we control all the means of production you still need someone to schedule work hours and order ingredients and stuff. They should be beholden to the rest of the team just like anyone in any position so I see what you're saying. However, comparing them to cops is a little extreme. These "bosses" need to be in agreement with the rest of the labor class and calling them thieves is unhelpful when the real enemy are the shareholders. Let's start with taking down the actual ruling class before pitting workers against other workers just because some of them have been elevated to minor positions of power by a corrupt system. Of course there are bad bosses who buy in too much but I've had plenty that actually care and are just as exploited even if they make 5 or 10 percent more slave wage.

All I'm saying is that this meme is hurting class solidarity and if it actually said "capital owners" and not "your boss" then the 90% of people who aren't experts on Marxist theory might understand. As it is, I feel like most people would just read this and think, "well then my boss is a thief and I hate them for that", which doesn't help.
