Yeah! this thing has many inconsistencies.

Mario bros 3 was on NES, not SNES.
The game for SNES was called Super Mario World, so this could've been called Super Sailor World
The artistic style looks like Sonic, not Mario
The game is called part 3, but Mario is holding up 2 fingers
Mario is a nominally a plumber, but here they're a sailor
Mario is breaking traditional gender roles
Mario has a shadow directly below, the land they're standing on has shadows goings right, but because of the Moon and stars behind him, at best the Sun is directly behind the camera
