I kind of agree but...
Keep in mind this is a fan-made project and they started long before BG3 was a thing.
But yeah, the BG3's overhead view + turn based combat would really fit here.
I mean, that's fair, but like I said, I was really more referring to the one used in DOS II, which was out just two years after Fallout 4, and DOS I came out a year before Fallout 4. Those games just never achieved the popularity of Baldur's Gate 3, which is more recent. However, the game engine was around, and could have been used, but it would have been a lot of work to hack it to be the SPECIAL system. Way more work than just dumping it to an existing Fallout engine.
Anyway, yeah, I'm not trying to dismiss the amazing work done here, it's well within the realm of reason to be using Bethesda's engines, in fact I'd say it's the most reasonable way to approach it. I understand my opinion has nothing to do with the technical side of the project, its just a feeling of nostalgia I have for the way the originals were set up. So yeah, this is amazing work, and while it's not my kind of thing, props to any and all who enjoy it as well as props to the hard work from the modders behind it.
