Funny, but don't you think it's worth making the distinction?

I think it's important to consider other people's perspectives. What about you, would you agree?
I wouldn’t want to force my answer on anyone that hasn’t filled out my engagement survey yet.
Sharing your opinion isn't the same as "forcing your answer." You can't expect other people to treat you the way you want to be treated if you aren't willing to engage in open conversation.
And if this is just a weak attempt at trolling, I'd suggest spending some time on 4chan. They could teach you a thing or two...

I was just checking because you came across as very condescending even though I tried to defuse the situation with some light humor.
