I genuinely don't understand how y'all say this with a straight face. You can't justify genocide with any other policies. It's literally just "atleast Mussolini made the trains run on time" fascist apologia.

You are in the "in group" for the Democrats right now so you aren't being harmed. That doesn't change the fact they have a harmful ideology that pushes and normalizes fascism and genocide, and it doesn't protect you in the long run to support/ encourage those sentiments. You just normalize them and strengthen them for the opponent to use, "first they came for..".

(...I was going to use the harsh border/immigration policies to make a comparison at first, but unfortunately these policies and sentiments have already been co-opted and normalized by the Democrats as well...)
