I get most of my stuff from 1337x but fuck me, it's just all Hallmark TV films and wrestling series now!

Edit - sorry I'm not actually living in the UK; I fell asleep and missed the answers lol Thanks everyone, I'll do a bit more investigation into your suggestions

Any chance of joining a private tracker, or getting started with usenet/newsgroups?

Only upload TV and Radio shows that are PRODUCED IN A COMMONWEALTH COUNTRY or IRELAND. The UK is not included!

Also requires you choose a binary gender on account creation, demands your home ip address, requires you have 0.8+ ratio after downloading 35GB (which sounds impossible due to the limited user pool as a home seeder that doesn't upload new torrents) or pay. Private trackers are creepy

Edit: it seems most popular shows don't count towards download but do count towards uploads and that's how they expect you to maintain ratio

The first couple of weeks on a private tracker are always pretty rough, until you can build up your ul/dl ratio high enough to get some breathing room.

Some sites make things easier on newbs than others.

If possible, look for recent freeleech torrents, especially popular ones, download them even if you aren't really interested in the content, and seed them 24/7 to build your ul stats..

Ah sorry man, I didn't check it out too thoroughly.

I've been torrenting for 20+ years and I've heard Usenet mentioned a lot but have never needed to sign up. Do you know if there's a newsgroup that's specifically UK based?
