343 is just a MS studio that they gave Halo to after Bungie made the good ones. Anyone important to making Halo what it was is long gone.

Initially a lot of them stuck around for the formation of 343i though. Don't know if they've stuck it out since though

Well there was Joseph Staten, worked on CE/2/3/ODST, went with Bungie when they became independent, then rejoined MS and ended up being "Head of Creative" on Halo Infinite.
