This was the first post of the day when I opened lemmy. And it was the first to make me super satisfied with a big grin. Absolute joy. Love it! I’m not even gonna scroll cause I love this moment too much to ruin it. I’m gonna fuck off to watch some saved videos instead. Hat tip.

I expect to see this reported as fact on Newsmax by the middle of next week.

"For our next segment: Is Tetris woke? Let's discuss."

"Has Nintendo been grooming youths to attack traditional family values?"

"Should us real patriots start boycotting video games?"

[–] TimeSquirrel@kbin.social 10 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Let's not give Nintendo credit for this one. His name is Alexey Pajitnov.

[–] MrVilliam@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Right, because they never blame the wrong people while they're blaming the wrong things. Paragons of virtue and real sticklers for accuracy to maintain their journalistic integrity, those ones.

[–] TimeSquirrel@kbin.social 5 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

What? No, I just mean to give the original creator of the game the credit he deserves. It was originally stolen from him.

[–] MrVilliam@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Lol I know, I was just bouncing back for an extra dig at those shitty networks.

Literally 1984

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 28 points 2 years ago

Stupid sexy Tetris.

[–] darth_tiktaalik@lemmy.ml 27 points 2 years ago

Not less ridiculous than the right's actual complaints.

ALL MY SEXY M&Ms ARE GONE.

I usually hate this meme format, but this is amazing.

[–] whereisk@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I was scanning it for the "we've been played for ABSOLUTE FOOLS" part.

..the itch wasn't scratched. :(

[–] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 years ago

It sounds like a more unhinged version of my father's rants about the liberal agenda

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 24 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I played Tetris on the original game boy. Right now I'm listening to the Rocky horror picture show soundtrack.

Coincidence?

[–] MxM111@kbin.social 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don’t think so. You are five minute to gay.

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is that when Henry Cavill gets here?

[–] mossy_@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If so, your prognosis is bleak

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I'd bleak his prognosis.

Listen I'm a proud liberal L and I'm glad that the liberal supreme court protected L marriage. I'm also about as far left as you can get but these days the Z's are being ridiculous. They don't understand how good they have it, and how they should be grateful and patient for their day to come. Making trouble in the party just puts L's like me at risk again and we don't want that. Oh and don't get me started on those fucking T's

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

It all makes so much sense now!

[–] roux@hexbear.net 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

This doesn't make sense. I keep getting told communism don't like the gays so communism is bad and capitalism is good because you get to have cars and 1000 types of Hershey candy bars.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You gonna lump the squares in with the straights! Not in my backwoods trailer your not!

[–] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Yet, in the old days the only path to success was through shoving straight into a hole. Now a days (while having a Tetris 99 orgy) you have your T spins and your combos and your double T spins. It's a T agenda conspiracy!

Tetris is woke.

[–] Salmarez@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

The universally best video game, made in Soviet Union.

[–] ParabolicMotion@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They could have used terms like “convex” and “concave” to describe the shapes, but then again, I’m really picky when it comes to math.

[–] psud@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The convex ones are concave on the other side. The straight piece is generally called "the straight piece"

[–] ParabolicMotion@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

The ones on the right contain some exterior angles that are less than 180 degrees, giving them concavity. Not every exterior angle of these shapes is this way, but due to having some exterior angles like this, I called them concave. The ones on the left have none of these such angles.

I agree with calling a straight a straight.
