Does anyone know of any instances on Lemmy or Mastadon that focus only on positive news?

I’m trying to reduce social media usage in general but when I do use it I would prefer to be able to explore uplifting things only.

I know I can block negative stuff but I also like going an exploring communities I’m not interested in subscribing. It would be great to have a local feed that’s better for mental health.

Definitely a good sublemmy, along with !goodnewseveryone@sh.itjust.works, !goodnews@kbin.social, and !optimistsunite@reddthat.com.

I think OP is looking for instances though, not just sublemmies.

Looking for instances but I appreciate the recommendations.

Worst case is I just follow a lot of positive communities.

The official term is community, not sub. FYI

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !upliftingnews@lemmy.world

fixed, thank you!

Beehaw might be a good one.

If you "explore" the fediverse, you are going to see lots of negativity (and tankies).

I end up viewing subscribed communities exclusively.

Even worse than outright negativity, there are capitalists that spin negative things as uplifting because they ignore the horrible things that happen to get there causing an unhealthy dependency on said horrible things....

This is another case where multireddits will be helpful, having a "positive information" feed when you feel too negative. even having a "public" multireddit people can discover and subscribe to.
