God, I'm so fucking tired of AAA game devs spouting bullshit like this. Do you make good games, sure, are they revolutionizong the industry, no. Get your fucking head out of your ass.

As a AAA Game Dev, so am I.

In fact, I feel like most of the people who actually work on games and are in the trenches are tired of it too.

Can't wait for the remake of the remake of Last of Us 2! Really genre defining work!

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Nice guess, but the revolutionary direction that they have taken Crash Bandicoot will redefine gaming, and media in general, as they elevate art and entertainment to unimaginable levels of creativity and interaction. It will be an award-winning transcendental cultural phenomena.

So far up his own ass he's back out the mouth and heading for a second entry

[–] Deceptichum@sh.itjust.works 18 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Half Life: Blue Shift was, IIMHO, the first Second Person game. You play as Barney and in several places get to see Gordon Freeman doing Half Life 1 things.

Will it be a 3rd person action game with 2 hours of cutscenes and quick time events?

[–] Rayspekt@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

David Cage has entered the chat

Kojima takes notes, furiously

[–] Melonpoly@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What are you talking about? Kojima pioneered the Strand Type Game™

[–] steeznson@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Pretty sure he hasn't used QTEs yet... but point taken

[–] Zehzin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Let me tell you about a little game named Policenauts

[–] VaultBoyNewVegas@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

But but but...that's amazing storytelling according to ps fanboys.

[–] Zehzin@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago

Sorry Neil but Skull and Bones is already the first AAAA game

[–] ElcaineVolta@kbin.social 17 points 2 years ago

This is the same guy that thought his anti-revenge story was the second coming of christ and people just didn't understand.

My favorite parts were the subtle sci-fi elements, like the characters teleporting between cities

[–] MummifiedClient5000@feddit.dk 15 points 2 years ago

It could. It's not going to, but it could.

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I got access and you won't believe this... It's a game centered around a big pound sign and then two players take turns placing X's and O's. First one to get 3 in a row wins. Dude, this is gonna be totally revolutionary.

[–] classic@fedia.io 4 points 2 years ago

I heard the first dlc, you can put a line through the winning row

[–] kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Good thing that hype always delivers.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Neil Druckmann’s about to make you his bitch.

[–] steeznson@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

When the twitter trolls called him Neil Cuckmann they didn't know who was about to get cucked.

[–] BigPotato@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah, that's the same energy...

But at least John Romero came off a hot streak with his stinker.

[–] HarkMahlberg@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Underrated burn. Hot damn.

[–] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 5 points 2 years ago

At this point I'm expecting it to be a movie.

[–] xep@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

Could it be the next Stranding type game?!

[–] intensely_human@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It’s the future of gaming!

[–] metaStatic@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago
