Scope scope scope.

Do not overshoot your budget, do not plan a seven-year release cycle, do not expect five zillion sales. Take two years to crank out three cool things.

That's good they can make their own IP and not be limited by Bethesda and Microsoft. I don't think the fallout IP is going to go anywhere at least in video game form from what I've seen of the new games and what has been said by the lead devs.

Did the lead devs put a bullet in it?

Nono, you read that wrong. They're lead devs, not lead devs.

They put Bethesda to shame, which isn’t hard but still they did a great job with this.

Was this a paid mod or what was the deal with it?

It’s completely free if you own Fallout 4, like Enderal for Skyrim.

It’s a mod that effectively makes Fallout 4 a new game. It’s set in its own world, has its own story, and has its own unique mechanics.

Some people are even saying it’s the best Fallout since NV.

Edit: If you’re curious here’s a link to the site. You can grab it easily from GoG if you own Fallout 4 over there, it’s a bit more involved if you have the Steam version.

That's great news! Perhaps we'll see something akin to The Forgotten City from these devs, where they take their idea and really run with it with their own engine and ideas.
